Students and teacher hospitalized in Pune after consuming midday meal
22 students and headmaster of Rambhau Mhalgi secondary school, Katraj, Pune were hospitalized after they complained of stomach ache and vomiting, post consuming the midday meal served to them in the school, on Wednesday. Out of them, one student has been kept in the ICU for observation.
"The meal was consumed by the headmaster, four teachers and 120 students of class VIII, IX and X of school. Soon they developed stomach ache and started vomiting post which they were admitted to Bharati hospital in Katraj," said Minakshi Raut, deputy director of education, Pune region.
Till the report of the food sample comes, the same SHG will provide food to the school and post report relevant action will be taken. Already a warning is issued to the SHG post incident," added Raut.
