CBSE 10th and 12th Result 2020: CBSE Board has completed two legs of the evaluation process for 10th and 12th Class Board Exams. For 2020 session, currently the CBSE Board has commenced evaluation work for 10th 12th answer sheets of papers which were conducted before 19th March i.e. before COVID-19 outbreak. Keeping in mind the safety of the teachers and evaluators, the board has enabled at-home evaluation process, under which teachers are allowed to check the copies of answer sheet from the safety of their homes. Reports in media suggest that so far, CBSE has completed two legs of the evaluation work, which amounts to about 50% of the total work. According to media reports, with nearly 50% evaluation work already over, Board plans to complete the checking of the rest of the answer sheets by 15th June 2020.
Assistant and Head Examiners Roped in for Evaluation Work
With evaluation process already delayed due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Board had taken several initiatives and steps to speed up the work of checking of the answer sheets. In addition to allowing at-home evaluation of the answer sheets, the Board has also decided to rope in all assistant head examiners in evaluation work to ensure timely completion of the process. Moreover, teachers and evaluators are given limited number days and fixed number of answer sheets that they have to complete checking within the given deadline. Moreover, to ensure complete safety of the teachers involved, evaluators who reside in containment zones were excluded from the checking process. This further increased the workload on the teachers involved in the checking process.
Evaluation Work to be Over by Mid-June
As reported earlier, as per the plan shared by the board with the evaluators, CBSE hopes to complete the checking of answer sheets for CBSE Board Exam 2020 by mid-June. There are some subjects for which evaluation work has begun recently and these will take some time to be completed. This puts the tentative date of completion of the checking in mid-June 2020. After the evaluation work is completed, the board will process the marks and data which is expected to take another 10 days before the final result is prepared.
